The 2013 Shelby GT500 holds a special place in both the history of the Ford Mustang and that of the legendary Carroll Shelby. When produced the 2013 Shelby GT500 was built to be the most powerful production mustang. Before his unfortunate passing in 2012, the 2013 GT500 was the final Shelby to be built under the supervision of Carroll Shelby. The 2013/2014 Shelby GT500 remains to the the very last manual transmission GT500 to be produced.

This Mustang is powered by a supercharged 5.8 Liter V8 engine sending 662 horsepower to the rear wheels through a 6-Speed manual Tremec transmission
